Today is Bandit's 4th birthday.

There is a new cute boy who is playing on my softball team.  There will be further updates on this as the situation progresses.  (hopefully it will progress).

Went to Philly.  The girl Doug picked was just about perfect.  I didn't know that the stuff that happens in porn could happen in real life.  Awkward angles somehow become less awkward when you add another girl.

This has been a week at work that started bad and has just gone downhill from there.  Everything that could go wrong, or be complicated has been.  This morning the phrase of the day was 'wayward tractor trailer'   At least I get to leave early tomorrow.  I'm going with John to a work event- dinner and a cocktail cruise up the Hudson.

He and I had our first 'fight' a couple of days ago.  Not over the fact that I went to Philly, but that I tweeted about it.  He got super jealous and super insecure.  It really surprised me.   We're better now, obviously, since I'm going to play girlfriend tomorrow night, but it's a bit different.

I also picked up a new book- Less than Zero by Brett Easton Ellis.  Awesome; like Catcher in the Rye for the disaffected 80's LA elite.

Commuting time/Starbucks/Puppies

Since I'm working crazy hours, I've been commuting at different times. I've realized that every time has a different crowd (and then, of course, I compared it to my Starbucks observations)

5:30 AM
Profession: electricians, security guards, plumbers
What's in their Starbucks cup: bold drip, black
What they wear: tshirts, paint-stained jeans, boots w steel-tipped toes

6:30 AM
Profession: CEOs, high power execs, presidents of companies
What's in their Starbucks cup: herbal tea - "I don't need caffeine" (their energy comes from power?)
What they wear: VERY expensive suits, leather attaches

7:30 AM
Profession: upper-middle management, social workers, secretaries
What's in their Starbucks cup: lattes
What they wear: slacks and an upscale shirt, sneakers that they change into high heels at work, general look of exhaustion

8:30 AM
Profession: grad school interns, IT guys, tech companies that are "laid back"
What's in their Starbucks cup: caramel machiatto, extra shot
What they wear: jeans, loosely buttoned collared shirt, messenger bag

9:30 AM
Profession: college interns, part-time employees
What's in their Starbucks cup: frappaccino
What they wear: skirts above the knee, tank tops, flip flops, tiny purse
